CROESO I YSGOL GYNRADD CWMFFRWDOER
Cwmffrwdoer Primary School was established in 1983, following the closure of Pantygasseg School, Cwmffrwdoer Infant School, and Cwmffrwdoer Junior School. Since then, we’ve proudly served the local community, providing high-quality education for children aged 3 to 11 years.
As part of the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools Programme, our school has recently undergone exciting developments. These include a full internal upgrade of our to incorporate a vibrant, purpose-built Nursery, and the construction of a modern extension. This new space features:
-
Four spacious classrooms
-
A dedicated ICT corridor
-
A well-equipped library for our older learners
Our pupils are currently organised into nine classes, including our excellent Nursery, where children begin their learning journey in a caring and stimulating environment.

At Cwmffrwdoer, we believe that learning happens everywhere—not just in the classroom. Our school is equipped with a range of facilities designed to support both academic and personal development:
-
Shared learning areas for collaborative and out-of-class activities
-
Outdoor play areas for both all pupils
-
Outdoor seating for social and group learning opportunities
-
Extensive school grounds, including:

-
A dedicated woodland area used for Forest School sessions and topic-based learning
-
-
Outdoor gym equipment to promote physical wellbeing
-
A state-of-the-art trim trail and climbing frame to encourage active play and motor skill development
These facilities help us create a dynamic and engaging environment where children can explore, discover, and thrive.
