Croeso i Dosbarth Tresaith!

 

This term, our lens is People, Places, Purpose. We’ll be exploring our local community, with a special focus on the unsung heroes who make a real difference every day. Together, we’ll discover how our community has changed over the years and celebrate the positive impact of our community heroes.

 

In literacy, we’ll dive into inspiring books such as The Proudest Blue and Invisible by Tom Percival, using these stories to spark important conversations about identity, kindness, and belonging. In maths and numeracy, we’ll represent numbers in different ways, explore place value, and develop our skills in addition, subtraction, and more.

 

Our creative side will shine as we develop our portrait drawing skills, experimenting with different pencils and techniques in Expressive Arts. In P.E., we’ll be moving and having fun with dance and ball games, and we’re excited to welcome Torfaen Play too.

 

Every day, we’ll take part in Welsh language lessons, maths tapas sessions, and Little Wandle phonics to build strong foundations across the curriculum. In science and technology, we’ll explore our new school bat house and learn all about bats, as well as begin our journey into the world of electricity!

 

In Humanities, we’ll ask, “What makes a good citizen?” as we learn about the history of community helpers, map our local area, and explore the diversity within our community and across Wales.
