The Governing Body here at Cwmffrwdoer is essential to our continued success. Governors work together with the Headteacher and staff to;

 

• Agree the aims and values of the school

• Make decisions on the school's budget and approve school development plans

• Ensure the National curriculums is taught

• Monitor and review the school's progress

• Ensure individual pupil's needs are met, including special needs

• Interview and recruit staff

• Provide information about the school for parents

• Produce action plans following school inspections

• Establish and maintain positive links with the local community

The full Governing Body meet regularly during the year. In addition to the formal meetings held by the Governing Body, Governors regularly visit the school during the year to help in classrooms, offer support and enjoy special events. Regular informal meeting take place between the Headteacher, staff and Governors to consider general day-to-day running of the school.
