IGNITE RADIO

We are delighted to announce that, as of January 2026, Cwmffrwdoer Primary School now has its very own professionally installed radio station. On Wednesday 21st January, we proudly launched IGNITE Radio with our first live broadcast, shared not only across the school, but streamed live to listeners everywhere.
 

Our newly formed IGNITE Radio Team will be delivering daily broadcasts through the school’s speaker system during break and lunchtime, bringing music, news, and pupil-led features to the whole school community. They are also developing plans to broadcast live more frequently, giving parents, carers, and the wider community the opportunity to tune in and enjoy pupil-created content from anywhere.
 

The radio station will be an exciting tool for learning across all year groups. Classes will use the studio to develop oracy skills, confidence, creativity, teamwork, digital competence, and so much more. It is a brilliant new addition to our IGNITE Curriculum, enriching learning in a dynamic and meaningful way.
