Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of all the governors and staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the school website. It is designed to give you an overview of our school and is full of information that parents/carers will need to know.

Cwmffrwdoer Primary School is situated on the outskirts of the town of Pontypool in the borough of Torfaen, South Wales. The school was built in 1984.  The school has very strong links with the local community and is a vibrant and happy place to work and learn. Our policies and practices are informed by Torfaen County Borough Council.

Pupils in Cwmffrwdoer enjoy learning in a variety of ways, both indoor and outdoor. They are engaged and challenged in their learning using a range of teaching strategies and up-to-date learning resources. We aim to teach a range of basic skills and values that establish a solid foundation for your child to become a life-long learner. The school is committed to providing the best educational experiences within a warm, caring environment.

We are a family where everyone feels safe, included and welcomed. Positive adult role models will encourage and motivate your child to reach their full potential. Our dedicated, hardworking team will work closely with you to ensure that your child is happy and thrives during their time with us.
