Family Breakfast

It was lovely to see so many of you this morning for our first family breakfast. Thank you for coming on such a wet morning! We will be holding another family breakfast next half term on Friday 29th November.

Meet The Teacher

Thank you to those who came to meet teachers last week. Hopefully you now have all the information you need for your children’s new class.

All after school clubs have started this week. If children are registered for a club, they will not be authorised to leave school at the end of the day that the club is run. The teacher who is running the club must be notified in advance of your child’s absence from the club.

We also have new Sports Ambassadors, House Captains, Prefects and Monitors from Year 6. Well done to all!

Macmillan Coffee afternoon – Change of Date

Please note that we have changed the date of our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon from Friday 11th October to Monday 14th October at 2:30pm due to staff training.

Heddlu Bach

We are thrilled to be part of the Mini Police initiative in Wales. The scheme gives pupils who are interested in becoming mini police officers an opportunity to help make a difference within their community and to educate their fellow pupils.

This scheme will also give them a voice to feedback what matters most to them and they can help influence those around them in a positive way. Pupils nominated themselves if they wanted to get involved and completed application forms and will take part in an interview process.

The mini police officers will have their own branded Heddlu Bach uniform.

Caffi Cymraeg

Parents/carers will be invited in to classes from Y2-Y5 over the next two terms to enjoy a drink/snack and learn some Welsh in relaxed surroundings. Our ‘Criw Cymraeg’ will lead these events and we look forward to you joining us.

The first ‘Caffi Cymraeg’ will be for Dosbarth Pwll Du (Year 3/4).

All dates for Caffi Cymraeg will be on next week’s newsletter.

Parking in school car park

Some parents and carers are parking in the school car park. May I remind you that the car park is for staff and visitors only. The school buses drop children off in the car park and unauthorised vehicles cause a danger to pupils.
