Parent/carer information newsletter – April 9th 2019

National Tests

A reminder that National Tests for Year 2 -6 pupils will take place between the 7th May – !4th May 2019. Please try to avoid any absences on these dates. Please refer to the last newsletter for specific test information.

Not all pupils have returned the permission slip for them to access Hwb online for tests and resources. Please ensure these are returned by Friday at the latest.

Please note there will be no clubs during the week of tests.

Attendance

Each week in Celebration Assembly, we celebrate the classes with highest attendance. From after Easter, the class with the best attendance will be allowed to wear Mufty the following Friday.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass directly connects the police with schools to secure better outcomes for children who are subject to or witness to police-attended incidents of domestic abuse. Rapid provision of support within the school environment means children are better safeguarded against the effects of domestic abuse.  Operation Encompass provides an efficient confidential channel of communication between police forces and key adults within schools. This enables the immediate and discrete recognition of the child’s situation by the key adult, ensuring a secure and sympathetic environment is provided and the broader effects of abuse are addressed.

Easter Disco

Thank you to the PTA for organising the Easter disco. The children had fun and all funds raised will benefit the pupils.

Easter Duck Race

We have sold some eggs for the duck race and we holding the event on Thursday in the school grounds. Ducks are on sale in the office for £1 until tomorrow
